 PTFE hoses are used as flexible pipelines for transporting highly corrosive fluids with pH ranging from 0 to 14, including solvents, liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon fuels, except for solutions and melts of alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride, and fluorine.

Operating temperatures range from -60 °C to +230 °C for liquids and from -60 °C to +100 °C for gaseous fuels.

PTFE hoses are not electrically conductive and can operate under different climatic conditions. They are resistant to sea mist, withstand vibration load in the frequency range of 5 to 10,000 Hz, and a transportation load of up to 15 g.

PTFE hoses consist of an inner hardened PTFE cell tube, a single layer of braid made of Rusar polymeric fibers, and an outer coat made of PTFE heat-shrink tubing.

The working pressure ranges from 1 MPa (10 kgf/cm2) to 4 MPa (40 kgf/cm2).
